How to make Hamantaschen: Roll out dough very thin on a floured board. Flour the rim of a glass and cut out circles. Spread your favorite jam or raisins, or chocolate chips into the middle. To shape traingular hamantaschen, pinch together towards the middle segments. Then fold upwards toward the middle remaining segment and join to other sides. Bake on well-greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 20 minutes until slightly browned. Below are a few different kind of recipes.


Basic Hamantaschen

3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup margarine
3 eggs
3/4 cup orange juice
4 1/2 cups of flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt.

Cream sugar and margarine. Then add remaining ingredients and mix together well. Proceed according to directions above.


Mix By Hand - Hamantaschen

4 cups of flour
4 eggs
3/4 cup of sugar
2 sticks margarine, softened
1 tablespoon orange juice
4 teaspoon baking powder
2 teaspoons of vanilla

Mix all ingredients together by hand. You may add a drop more juice or flour depending on consistency of dough. Proceed according to direct above.


Sweet Hamantaschen

1 cup of sugar
2 sticks of margarine
3 eggs
1/2 cup of orange juice
4 cups of flour
3 teaspoons baking powder

Cream sugar and margarine. Then add eggs, and juice, mixing well. Blend with dry ingredients and proceed according to directions above.


Easy Kreplach

Dough:
1 cup flour
1 egg
pinch of salt

Filling:
1 cup of ground meat
1 tablespoon grated onion
salt and pepper to taste

Prepare dough. Knead well and roll out on floured board and cut into squares or circles. Then into another bowl mix meat with onion and add seasonings. Put 1 tablespoon of mixture on each piece of dough. Shape into triangle and cook or fry. Enjoy


Vegetable Soup

Ingredients:
1 bag of mixed vegetables
onion soup mix
1/2 bag of barley
any other fresh vegetables that you would like to add

Put all ingredients into a big pot. Add onion soup mix until desired tasted. Cook for 3-4 hours.


Brisket

Ingredients:
Brisket
barbeque sauce
onions
water

Put brisket into pan and cut up onions and place around the brisket. Coat the brisket with the barbeque sauce and add about 1/2 water to the bottom. Cook until desired taste. If cooking frozen add an extra hour. The rule of thumb is to cook it 20 minutes for every pound.


Orzo

Ingredients:
1 lb. bag of Orzo
onion soup mix
mushrooms
onions
green peppers
red peppers
oil for frying

Cook orzo according to package directions. Fry all the remaining vegetables until soft. When orzo and vegetables are done combine together and add onion soup mix to taste. Bake for 1/2 hour at 350 degrees.
