*1*) [line 4] MA'ARACHAH BIFNEI ATZMAH - (This is Rebbi Meir of our Mishnah, following the opinion that he expressed in our Mishnah that there was an added Ma'arachah for burning the limbs of the leftover Korbanos.)
2) [line 7] SHE'MASHLAH BEHEN HA'UR - that the fire took hold of them *4*) [line 10] VA'AFILU B'SHABBOS - (This is the beginning of another discussion of Rebbi Meir's statement, like the type of statement that is normally prefaced by "Amar Mar.") 5) [line 10] B'EMTZA SHABBOS - when Yom ha'Kipurim falls in the middle of the week 16) [line 13] CHELVEI SHABBOS - the fats (Chelev) [and limbs] of the afternoon Korban Tamid that was brought on Shabbos (Mishnah Shabbos 113a and RASHI Shabbos 114a) 6) [line 15] D'LO CHAYISH L'KIMCHEI - lit. that has no concern for the flour he grinds, [whether it is ground from wheat or from bran] (RASHI Pesachim 84a), i.e. for the words that he utters (RASHI Yevamos 42b) *7*) [line 20] DOCHEH ES HA'SHABBOS, V'EINO DOCHEH ES HA'TUMAH - that is, even "Sofo" is Docheh Shabbos.
8) [line 6] TUM'AH D'DECHUYAH HI B'TZIBUR 1. The Gemara in Yuma explains that according to all opinions, if certain Kohanim in the Mikdash are Teme'im and others are Tehorim, the Tehorim do the Avodah. However, if all of the Kohanim of the Beis Av (the group of Kohanim whose day it is to do the Avodah) are Teme'im, there is a dispute as to whether the Korbanos are offered b'Tum'ah. One opinion holds that the Torah entirely cancelled the prohibitions against Tum'ah with regard to Korbenos Tzibur ("Hutrah"); therefore the Kohanim who are Temei'im may perform the Avodah. Others rule that Kohanim from other Batei Avos who are Tehorim should be sought to do the Avodah, since only with reluctance did the Torah permit offering Korbenos Tzibur b'Tum'ah ("Dechuyah"). The prohibitions of Tum'ah are only pushed aside in the event of great necessity.9) [line 10] KAVYEI - when he extinguished it 10) [line 11] ACHTEI A'AR'A - he took it down to the ground 11) [line 13] KEIVAN D'NATKAH NATKAH - (lit. since he has detached it, it is detached) since he has removed it from the Mizbe'ach, it is no longer considered the fire of the Mizbe'ach
