SOTAH 47, 48 - have been anonymously dedicated by a very special Marbitz Torah and student of the Daf from Ramat Beit Shemesh, Israel.

(a) What is the connection between the death of the youths killed by Elisha and the Korbanos brought by Balak king of Mo'av in the Name of Hashem?

(b) What positive reward did Balak receive for bringing those Korbanos? What is the connection between Balak, Eglon, Rus and Shlomoh?

(c) Considering the latter reward, why did the forty-two youths also die?
