1) THE ENDING
(a) The Gemara discusses the departing of the soul from the
body.
(b) R. Levi Bar Chaisa: When taking leave of a living person
one should say "Go to [your] peace"; when taking leave of
a dead person he should say "Go in peace" - but not vice
versa.
(c) R. Levi: It is a good thing to go right from the
synagogue to the Beis Midrash and vice versa.
(d) Rav: Torah scholars can expect no rest in the Next World,
for they will go from strength to strength.
