1)
(a) Whilst and Rav Yehudah and the Rabbanan were visiting Rabah bar bar
Chana, a 'Chavra' came and removed the lamp that they had lit. Who were
the Chavri?
(b) Why did he remove the lamp?
(c) Why did Hashem send Yisrael into Galus Bavel and not to Rome?
(d) How do we reconcile this (the fact that Galus in Bavel was better than
Galus would then have been in Rome) with Rabah bar bar Chanah, who commented
that the Romans were better than the Persians (who comprised the latter half
of Galus Bavel)?
2)
(a) 'Echad Amar be'Fanai Nichtav, u'Shenayim Omrim be'Faneinu Nechtam,
Kasher'. What distinction did Rebbi Ami Amar Rebbi Yochanan draw between
whether the Eid Kesivah was the witness or the Eidei Chasimah?
(b) What can we extrapolate from here regarding two people who bring a Get
from overseas?
(c) What does Rebbi Asi extrapolate from Rebbi Ami's statement with regard
to 'Shenayim Omrim be'Faneinu Nichtav, ve'Echad Omer be'Fanei Nechtam'?
3)
(a) On another occasion, Rebbi Ami heard Rebbi Yochanan say that even if the
Get was delivered by the Eidei Chasimah, it is Kasher. What ...
- ... can we now extrapolate regarding two people who bring a Get from overseas
- ... does Rebbi Asi now extrapolate from Rebbi Ami's statement with regard to 'Shenayim Omrim be'Faneinu Nichtav, ve'Echad Omer be'Fanai Nechtam'?
(b) When Rebbi Asi queried Rebbi Ami about the contradiction between the two
statements, he replied that it was a peg that cannot be moved. What did he
mean by that?
4)
(a) If the Get is written and signed on the same day, it is always valid.
In which case will a Get be invalid because it was not signed on the same
day as it was written?
(b) Why is it Pasul?
(c) Rebbi Shimon argues with this ruling. What does Rebbi Shimon say with
regard to Sh'taros that were written by day and signed by night?
(d) Why are Gitin different than other Sh'taros in this regard?
5)
(a) According to Rebbi Yochanan, a Get that was signed the night after it
was written is Pasul because of 'bas Achoso'. What does this mean?
(b) What does Resh Lakish say?
(c) Resh Lakish declines to learn like Resh Lakish because adultery is
uncommon (and Chazal do not tend to incorporate uncommon cases in their
decrees). Why does Rebbi Yochanan decline to learn like Resh Lakish?

6)
(a) Why does Rebbi Shimon validate a Get which is predated, according to ...
- ... Resh Lakish, who gives the reason for the Takanah of writing the date on a Get as 'Mishum Peiros'?
- ... Rebbi Yochanan, who gives the reason as 'Mishum bas Achoso'? What is really Rebbi Shimon's reason according to Rebbi Yochanan?
(b) According to Resh Lakish (seeing as the Rabbanan agree that one inserts
the date in a Get to enable the woman to claim 'Peiros'), what is Rebbi
Shimon and the Rabbanan's dispute?
(c) We just learned that, according to Resh Lakish, a divorced woman claims
the Peiros that her husband ate from the time that he wrote (or signed) the
Get, whereas Rebbi Yochanan permits him to eat them up to the time that he
actually gives her the Get. How do we reconcile this with another
quotation, where Rebbi Yochanan writes (that she claims the Peiros)
'mi'Sha'as Kesivah, and Resh Lakish, 'mi'Sha'as Nesinah'?
7)
(a) We have already quoted the Mishnah in ha'Megaresh 'Sheloshah Gitin
Pesulim, ve'Im Niseis, ha'V'lad Kasher'. What did Abaye ask Rav Yosef from
there on the Takanah of inserting the date in a Get?
(b) What was Rav Yosef's reply?
(c) Why are we not nevertheless afraid that, after the Sofer has written the
Get, he will cut off the date and hand the Get to his wife (seeing as it
will be Kasher anyway)?
8)
(a) If, as Rav Yosef maintains, a Get is Kasher even if it only contains
which seventh-year cycle, which year, which month or which week, the Kashya
remains: What have Chazal gained by this Takanah (seeing as it is permitted
to predate the Get by anything up to a week, and sometimes even up to seven
years)?
(b) Rav Yosef replied that at least, it is effective to determine the
seven-year cycle that follows it or that preceded it. What did he mean by
the six-year cycle ...
- ... that preceded it?
- ... that follows it?
(c) Why can the seven-year cycle ...
- ... that preceded it not pertain to the fruit?
- ... that follows it not pertain to when his wife committed adultery?
(d) How does Rav Yosef prove his point?
