Shabbos 118

1)

(a) What is the difference between the Kupah and the Tamchuy? Who would receive from the Kupah, and when was it distributed?

(b) How many meals did a poor man need to have, to be prevented from taking from the Kupah?

(c) The author of the Beraisa cannot be Rebbi Chidka, who would have given the number of meals as sixteen. Nor does the Beraisa appear to go like the Rabbanan, because then, it should have said fifteen.
Why fifteen?

(d) How does the Gemara establish the Beraisa like the Rabbanan?

2)
(a) How does the Gemara attempt to establish the Beraisa like Rebbi Chidka?

(b) How does it then reject that contention?

(c) In order to avoid establishing a Stam Mishnah not like Rebbi Chidka, the Gemara presents the author of our Berasisa as Rebbi Akiva. Which Rebbi Akiva? What does Rebbi Akiva say?

3)
(a) One gives a poor man who is just passing through, a loaf of bread worth a Pundiyon - just enough for two meals. How much does one give him if he remains over Shabbos?

(b) How could the author of this Mishnah (in Pei'ah) be Rebbi Chidka, according to whom, the poor man should have received *four* meals?

(c) How can they allow him to leave empty-handed?

(d) A poor man who remains in town over night also receives 'Parnasas Linah'. What is 'Parnasas Linah'?

4)
(a) Under what conditions may one wash dishes on Shabbos?

(b) What is the difference between washing dishes and washing drinking cups?

(c) From which three punishments is someone who fulfills the Mitzvah of eating three meals on Shabbos, spared?
